ICFA Agro-Food Joint Business Councils

Towards positioning India globally and facilitating investments, trade, and technical cooperation, including technology and knowledge sharing, for achieving the vision of global food and nutrition security, ICFA has conceptualized the mechanism of Joint Business Councils with various countries, regional blocks, and continents, involving the key stakeholder groups towards achieving the above objectives by promoting cooperation through delegation visits, joint studies, and conferences. A Board comprising ideally 20 members from India and the country concerned from among the businesses, policymakers, think tanks, and officials, with a chairman and two co-chairs, manages the affairs of the JBC. Important stakeholder groups from India, who are Members of ICFA, are invited to log on and register or write to us for co-opting them on the relevant JBCs.

There are Business Councils under the Ministry of Commerce and in Chambers like FICCI. To distinguish ourselves and a special one for Food and Agriculture, we may name them as: Indo- (country name) Agro-Food Joint Business Council
