Register for ICFA International Council

During the last two decades, there has been a rapid pace of globalization of trade and agriculture, which has brought people closer with shared vision and common concerns relating to climate issues, agriculture sustainability, and global food and nutritional security. India has the most diverse agriculture production system in the world, and its institutional strength of 100+ national-level research institutions, 80+ specialized agriculture universities, and over 800 Agriculture Science Centres (KVKs) is a unique model, serving the farmers and farm sector. India also has very diverse farming systems and equally diverse agribusiness models of varying scales. This experience has been taken to other countries the world over, and a large number of Indians are serving in the food and agribusiness industries, research and academic institutions, and policy and development sectors. Many of them studied abroad too, worked, and settled in those countries, and many are serving in different positions. But almost all of them want to contribute their experiences to the growth and development of the food and agriculture sectors in India and towards improving the state of affairs of Indian farmers. With the experience of working closely with India Agriculture Group, Washington, DC, and several other global partners, ICFA has conceptualized the International Council, where Indians working or settled in any country of the world could join this body and contribute their experiences, expertise, and resources for the betterment of Indian agriculture and the farmers. We therefore invite the people of Indian origin settled anywhere in the world and connected with the food and agriculture sectors to log on to www.icfa.org.in and join the ICFA International Council for creating a powerful global resource platform towards serving the cause of Indian agriculture, or by writing to us.
