KARNATAKA STATE AGRICULTURE SUMMIT 2024
Karnataka, endowed with diverse agro-climatic conditions and abundant natural resources, stands as a leading state in India's agricultural sector. Over recent years, both the state and central governments have launched numerous initiatives to accelerate agricultural development and bolster the food processing industry in Karnataka.
The state is a vital contributor to India's agricultural economy, renowned for producing a wide variety of horticultural crops, spices, and coffee, which play a significant role in both domestic and international markets. To sustain and enhance this progress, it is essential to foster strong collaboration among policymakers, industry leaders, institutions, and civil society, creating an environment conducive to the growth of the agriculture sector.

With the right policies, investments, and partnerships, Karnataka has the potential to further expand its agricultural output and drive the nation's economic progress. The Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture, serving as the premier body for policy and trade facilitation in India's food and agriculture sectors, is organizing the Karnataka State Agriculture Summit 2024. This summit will center on exploring new opportunities for business, investments, trade, technological advancements, partnerships, and policy reforms that are critical to unlocking Karnataka's full potential in agriculture and food processing. Additionally, ICFA will recognize and honor outstanding individuals, institutions, and organizations that have significantly contributed to the state's agricultural advancement, positively impacting rural livelihoods.
The summit is intended to be a key platform where stakeholders from across the agriculture sector can convene, deliberate, and strategize on pressing issues and emerging opportunities within Karnataka's agricultural landscape. It aims to inspire innovation, collaboration, and policy discussions that will drive the state towards sustainable agricultural development and economic prosperity. This event will also act as a catalyst for transformative changes within the agriculture sector, laying out a roadmap for sustainable growth, innovation, and success for farmers and stakeholders throughout the state.
Through fostering collaboration and dialogue, this summit aspires to position Karnataka as a leader in agricultural innovation in India. KARNATAKA STATE AGRI AWARDS 2024
- Agriculture in Karnataka has seen a remarkable transformation, moving from traditional practices to modern, technology-driven approaches. The state has become a leader in adopting advanced agricultural technologies, enhancing value chains, and fostering global partnerships. This progress is powered by the dedication of farmers, supportive government policies, and the involvement of industry stakeholders and startups.
- However, many of these key contributors often go unrecognized for their significant impact on the state's agricultural sector. To address this, the Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture (ICFA) is taking a step forward with the Karnataka State Agriculture Awards 2024. These awards aim to honor and motivate individuals and organizations that have shown leadership and innovation in advancing agriculture in Karnataka.
- The selection of awardees for the Karnataka State Agriculture Awards 2024 will be done through a two-tier system. The awards subcommittees will be headed by a member of the State Committee. All the applications and nominations received by the Awards Secretariat will be put up to the respective subcommittees, which will, in turn, recommend names to the State Committee for the final selection.
